About Silolona

Built to order by the master boat builders of Sulawesi

Silolona began with a family voyage aboard a traditional wooden Phinisi. Wanting the same journey with modern comfort and safety, its founder Patti set out to work with the skilled boat builders of Sulawesi — and the MSV Silolona was the result. Five en-suite suites host up to 10 guests across a 50-metre traditional gaff-rig hull, with a lounge, a spacious sundeck, and a full watersports and dive setup.

Charters depart from Sorong, with the best conditions in Raja Ampat between October and April.

The rate covers crew, all meals, the stated drinks allowance, diving for certified divers, watersports, shore excursions, transfers and 50 nautical miles per charter day. Government taxes are charged on top. A 50% deposit secures the booking, with the balance due no later than 14 days before departure.

Every suite has its own bathroom, air conditioning and a porthole view. Bali, Java and Asmat have king beds; Sumba and Borneo have queen beds.

How much does it cost to charter Silolona?

From USD 18,700 + 12% VAT per night for the whole yacht. Government taxes are charged on top of the rate.

How many guests can Silolona accommodate?

Up to 10 guests in five named en-suite suites — Bali, Java and Asmat with king beds, Sumba and Borneo with queen beds. All are air-conditioned with porthole views.

Are drinks included?

All meals, snacks, bottled water and refreshments are included, along with local beer and four bottles of local wine per night. Anything beyond that allowance is charged separately.

Is diving included?

Yes, for certified divers — dive equipment and wetsuits are provided. PADI certification courses are not included and would need to be arranged separately.

Is there a limit on how far the yacht travels?

The rate covers 50 nautical miles per charter day. Those miles accumulate across the charter, so a longer passage on one day can be offset by a shorter one on another; a surcharge applies only if the total is exceeded.
