Day By Day
A private charter is never run to the minute — the crew moves the plan daily for tide and weather. This is the shape of it.
Day 1: Sorong Pulau Mansuar
Twenty minutes by road from Domine Eduard Osok to Pelabuhan Rakyat, and aboard by late morning. A gentle check dive off Mansuar in the afternoon while the crew settles you in and the marine park permit is registered.
Day 2: Mansuar Dampier Strait
Cape Kri and Sardine Reef, both worked on the tide rather than the clock — the strait runs hard, and the dives are timed around slack water. Kayaking in Kabui Bay between the limestone in the afternoon.
Day 3: Dampier Strait Wayag
You wake up inside the lagoons. Mount Pindito at first light for the summit view the whole archipelago is photographed from, Ridge Rock before lunch, and a bonfire at Secret Bay once the light goes.
Day 4: Wayag Aljui Bay
Pulau Wofoh at first light, then Pulau Yangaffo for the mangrove edges — shallow, sheltered water, a complete change from the strait. The pearl farm in Aljui Bay in the afternoon, and a barbecue on a beach with nobody else on it.
Day 5: Aljui Bay Arborek & Friwen
Manta Sandy at slack water — a cleaning station on sand, so the mantas come to you. Then Arborek: 197 people, community-run marine conservation, and pandan hats bought from the women who weave them.
Day 6: Friwen Pulau Mioskon
Pygmy seahorses on the fans and walking sharks on the sand after dark — Mioskon is a macro site, the slowest and most deliberate diving of the week. Turtles, stingrays and schooling snapper in the shallows for anyone who would rather snorkel.
Day 7: Pulau Mioskon Sorong
The steam back runs through the night, so the last morning is breakfast alongside rather than a rush. Twenty minutes to the airport from the harbour.
Who This Suits
The strait's reef diving and the north's shallow karst are two different kinds of underwater, in one week.
Mount Pindito is the single most photographed view in the archipelago, and this route reaches it without a fourteen-night commitment.
Two nights of passage either side of five full days — the shortest route that leaves Dampier Strait for both Wayag and a village stop.
This route never goes south or east. Misool needs ten nights or more; Cendrawasih Bay needs fourteen.
Questions
Central Raja Ampat and the north — the Dampier Strait and Wayag. It does not reach Misool in the south or Cendrawasih Bay in the east; those need longer routes.
Fly to Sorong (SOQ), the gateway to Raja Ampat, then a short transfer to the harbour. Most charters board the same morning you land.
