Dive Operations

Our Dive Ops, Summed Up

3–4 dives a day · 4:1 guide ratio · every certification welcome

We run a program that welcomes Open Water through Trimix. On board, guides shape each dive plan around the certifications present in the group. Sites with heavy current are timed to the right tide windows. Rebreather, solo, and Trimix divers are all welcome when arranged ahead of time, with the full logistics organised out of Sorong.

Operations Standards

The six standards we operate by

Guide-to-diver ratio

4:1 as standard, tightening to 3:1 on photography charters — close attention and safe handling at the busy marquee sites.

Up to 4 dives per day

Three guided dives come standard, with an optional fourth at dawn or after dark, called by the captain according to the tide.

Tank service

AL80 by default. AL100 and steel tanks available with 30 days notice. Compressor isolation comes on the luxury and motor tiers.

Gear rental

A complete kit is on hand — regulator + computer + BCD + fins + mask + 3mm wetsuit — at $35/day per set, fitted to your size in advance.

Photographer support

Rinse tanks for cameras, a charging station and dry storage. The luxury tier adds a dedicated photo deck.

Safety protocol

Oxygen plus a DAN Asia-Pacific contact, with an AED on the luxury/motor tiers. Crew are EFR-certified, and the captain coordinates any evacuation that is needed.

Tech Diving

Rebreather, Trimix and solo procedures

Rebreather

Send your make/model, last service date and sorb spec 60 days ahead. A dedicated mixing station is provided on the luxury/motor tier.

Trimix

Helium supply takes 75 days of lead time. It is not kept in stock in Sorong, so it is ordered specifically for your charter.

Solo / self-reliant

You will need redundant gas, a backup computer and dual SMBs, plus a signed solo-protocol acknowledgment. A surface watch and chase boat back you up.
